A Leicestershire windows producer has gone out of business after cash flow dried up.

Tyrone Courtman and Nicholas Edwards of Cooper Parry have been appointed joint administrators of Scott & Herlock Ltd, trading as Swan Windows.

The company, based in Oadby, Leicestershire, was formed in 1983 and was part of the Swan Group, a leading PVC-U window and composite door contractor. It employed 15 people and specialised in the manufacture, supply and installation of PVC-U windows.

Tyrone Courtman, business recovery partner, said "due to adverse trading conditions the company has experienced cash flow difficulties and, unfortunately, it was not viable to trade on the business due to an absence of sufficient funding. Disappointingly we therefore had to make the staff redundant and we are in the process of contacting contractors regarding orders. Our strategy is to focus upon maximising realisations of the company's assets and where possible to novate contracts."
