Szerelmey appointed to install new facade at 14 Grosvenor Street, London

Stonework specialist Szerelmey, has been appointed to install a new Portland stone façade at London’s 14 Grosvenor Street in a £138,000 contract.

Care will be taken to ensure that the façade blends in with its local surroundings and it will display the characteristics of a typical Georgian façade.

The previous building at 14 Grosvenor Street had structural problems, so permission was granted to demolish it and replace it with a new building that compliments the charm of this Mayfair Conservation Area.

Construction is set to begin in January 2012 and should be completed in April 2012. Work will be undertaken for the client Grosvenor Estates. Sir Robert McAlpine is the main contractor.
