She brings more than 15 years of project management experience in transportation, urban development and infrastructure to the company. For the last seven years she has specialised in all aspects of the management of capital projects in the aviation sector. Most recently, she served as a consultant to senior management at Los Angeles World Airports (LAX) to develop strategies for the procurement and implementation of a $4bn capital programme.
Previously, Millan created an in-house project controls division for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department after large scale delays and cost overruns in the US$3bn North Terminal Development program brought the US$6.4bn capital improvement programme to a halt for over a year. As the director of programme controls for the owner, she helped propel the CIP back into construction and established the infrastructure to control scope, cost and schedule for the CIP by working across aviation divisions to create a cohesive approach.
