T&T picked for Houston airport expansion

29 Apr 15 The US city of Houston has commissioned Turner & Townsend to lead delivery of redevelopment work at the main airport.

The programme will be carried out over the next eight years at Houston’s largest commercial airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Turner & Townsend will serve as an extension of the client team, with primary responsibility for the completion of a series of projects related to the redevelopment of international terminal facilities and other capital programmes.

Turner & Townsend’s remit will see it provide programme management, leading the design, procurement, execution and control of the work.

“We are honoured to be playing a lead role in delivering the future of Houston’s airport network,” said Tina Millan, Turner & Townsend vice-president and US head of aviation.

“The airport is our community’s front door to the world and Turner & Townsend will help us construct a welcome that’s worthy of Houston and its citizens,” said Houston aviation director Mario Diaz.
