Tanfield struggles to meet demand
Rising global demand for aerial work platforms is boosting the order book of Tanfield Group, manufacturer of Snorkel and Pop-Up access equipment.
In a pre-close trading update, Tanfield said that orders were coming in faster than it could fulfil them. Order intake significantly outstripped monthly shipment revenues, the company said, meaning that the order book continued to grow. The company is now considering measures to manage the growth in lead times.
CEO Darren Kell said: "Global demand for aerial work platforms continues to build, driven by fleet replacement at major rental operators. The Company is examining ways that will allow it to respond to that increased global demand and to reduce its lead times accordingly."
