The growth comes despite the slowdown in the Chinese economy and covers services in programme and project management, cost management, strategic procurement advice, risk and programming.

The consultancy’s appointment of directors Derek Moir, Chunzi Yin and Channi Matharu follows expansion of the workforce by 35% across its six Chinese offices during the past year. Moir and Yin both join the Beijing office while Matharu will be in the Hong Kong office.

Turner & Townsend is engaged on projects across the property and infrastructure sectors in more than 75 locations across China. The six offices are leading major projects for a range of global automotive companies including Infiniti, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes and Aston Martin. The Macau-based team is playing a key role in the construction of one of region’s largest housing projects.

North East Asia managing director Nick Townsend said: “We are now achieving sustainable growth in China which is a testament to our ability to adapt to changing client needs and shifting market conditions. These senior appointments will reinforce our offering within the region and ensure that clients gain access to a global network of skills and expertise locally.”
