Upgrade for JCB’s smallest backhoe

JCB has upgraded its smallest backhoe loader, the 1CX, with new styling, longer loader arms, an extending dipper option, servo controls and a power management system.

The 1CX has been updated with the latest JCB corporate styling, including a revised cab roof trim, new working lights and sturdy electrical switchgear. The new optional loader arms are 100mm longer to provide easier loading of road tippers and site dump trucks, JCB says.

At the rear, an extending dipper option adds up to 500mm to the digging envelope, taking maximum dig depth to 3.05m. This allows easier load over of trucks, with the backhoe able to reach the centre of the tipper body.

A new power management system (PMS) has been added to beef performance. It reduces engine lug down as the machine starts to dig and increases power when driving into a pile with the front shovel.

Optional servo controls not only add to digging performance but also increase cab space as the control lever post is gone. Customers can choose between either SAE+ or ISO+ control pattern by using the optional changeover switch, to suit the individual operator.

 JCB 1CX standard machine specification:
