The Nuevo Pudahuel consortium is led by Aéroports de Paris, which has a 45% share, with Vinci Airports having 40% and Astaldi taking 15%.
Building work will be shared equally between Astaldi and Vinci Construction Grands Projets.
Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport is South America’s sixth-largest airport and had 16.1 million passengers in 2014, almost half of whom were international passengers. The new terminal w ill increase the airport's capacity to 30 million passengers, with potential for expansion beyond 45 million.
The project covers the management and development of the airport. The financial offer was fixed at 77.56% expressing the proportion of revenue from the concession to be turned over to the government.
The Nuevo Pudahuel consortium will take over the concession on 1 October 2015. Its missions are to carry out renovation with the redesign and extension of the current terminal; fund design and build the new 175,000m2 terminal; and operate a 20-year concession for the existing and new terminals, car parks and future property developments.
