Wallace Roofing adds Volvo mini to its fleet

Wallace Roofing & Building Contractors of Freuchie near Glenrothes, Fife, has added a new Volvo EC27C compact excavator to its fleet.

The new EC27C joins a Volvo BL71 backhoe loader and a 14t EC140C crawler excavator.

“I needed a compact excavator to carry out a lot of the typical projects we are currently undertaking,” explains proprietor Scott Wallace. “Having had a good experience already operating a Volvo BL71 backhoe and an EC140C excavator and in particular to the support and back-up service, plus a desire to deal directly with a manufacturer, prompted my decision to choose another Volvo.”

The relatively new EC27C replaces the previous EC25 and EC30 models. It is powered by a Volvo 1.6 litre low-emission Stage III and has been developed to deliver performance in the range of the previous Volvo EC30 in a compact design reminiscent of the smaller EC25.

Features include simultaneous control of slew and offset movements for faster and more precise performance due to the right joystick control lever that features an electronically proportional roller. This is designed to allow the operator to adjust hydraulic flow as needed.

Wallace Roofing & Building Contractors specialise in bespoke house renovation and new build projects using traditional materials for local Scottish estates and for private commissions recommended by estate agencies.
