Webinars for £200m refurb framework

4 Feb 15 Procurement consortium Fusion21 is looking for contractors to work on projects worth an anticipated £200m in total.

Fusion21’s property retrofit framework includes projects to help its member organisations improve the energy efficiency of their social housing stock.

Fusion21 has more than 100 members including Bristol City, Guildford Borough and St Helens councils as well as registered providers such as the Riverside Group, Affinity Sutton, Barnet Homes, Circle Housing, Metropolitan Housing and Cartrefi Conwy.

The programme will be carried out over the next four years and is split into 14 lots including works from external wall insulation to solar hot water systems. A total of 17 specialist contractor groups are needed to complete the programme, including project managers, biomass heating specialists and electricians.

Fusion21 is planning a series of webinars to talk prospective contractors and suppliers through what is involved and encourage them to pitch. There will be different webinars for different regions: North East and Yorkshire on 13th February, London on the 20th, and West Midlands and Wales on the 27th February.

Commercial director Gordon Ronald said: “The webinar events will allow us to inform suppliers across the country of exactly what the property retrofit involves and how they can sign up to the procurement process.”
