Wetherby Insulated Render Systems Not just a pretty facade..

The Crossways Estate was once referred to locally as 'The Pride of Bow', yet time has not been kind to the 1970s estate and due to its poor state of repair the majority of the homes were demolished and rebuilt as part of an extensive regeneration project.

The three tower blocks that dominate the area were saved from demolition and are currently undergoing refurbishment.

Priestman Point was the first of the blocks to have been thermally and aesthetically transformed using a Wetherby Insulated Render System.

The structural engineer insisted the slabs of 100 and 200mm Mineral Wool be securely anchored all the way back to the reinforced concrete frame and to enable this specialist 370mm fixings were incorporated into the design.

Basecoat, primer and a 1.5mm silicone texture were applied to the face of the insulation to provide a clean, weatherproof finish.
