Win for Skanska in Oslo
Skanska has been awarded a NOK920m (£97.8m) contract by KLP Eiendom for a shopping centre at Fornebu in Oslo, Norway.
The construction project is the first of its kind to be certified in compliance with BREEAM NOR's highest level, ‘Outstanding’.
In addition to the shopping centre, the project also includes a 36,000m2 car park, 2,500m2 of office space and four residential blocks with 78 apartments. In addition, 2,000m2 of solar panels will be installed on the roof.
Construction will start in September 2012 and the shopping centre is expected to be ready for handover in September 2014. The apartments will be completed in March 2015.
