WSP recruits former O'Rourke director
Former Laing O’Rourke operations director Duncan Symonds has joined consulting engineer WSP as UK head of infrastructure.
Mr Symonds has more than 15 years’ experience project-managing large infrastructure projects and delivering business development strategies. He led a team in the pre-construction phase of the Crossrail project. He left Laing O’Rourke earlier this year.
WSP UK deputy managing director Mark Naysmith said: “Developing our capability in infrastructure across a wider sector base is key to our long-term growth strategy. Duncan’s experience and expertise will help us continue to grow our UK infrastructure division.”
