Excavator in need of more weight!
Here’s another photo sent in by one of our Digger Blog readers Brian Dempster, who kindly shares this amusing shot.
This shot was taken somewhere in Ireland, and features a 1.5 ton class Pel-Job Sirius Plus mini excavator being used to lift out a heavy diesel engine from a Sherpa van. The little machine is clearly struggling to cope with the load, so the operator has deployed a couple of mates to stand on the back of the machine for extra ballast.
I have to say the Digger Blog does not recommend this practice, so please don’t try this out for yourselves!
