We have had a lot of interest in the Volvo pipelayer post from last week, in direct response to a request for more info from one of our readers, here is a promotional video from Volvo featuring the largest model in the range the PL4611.

The PL4611 is the largest pipelayer machine in Volvo's current 3 model range, which was recently joined by the PL3005D that we saw making its debut in Lorient, France last week. This machine is powered by Volvo's D12D engine which offer's a maximum power output of 235kw (320hp). Fitted with a standard 9 metre boom, the machine has an operating weight of 68.0 tons, and a maximum lift capacity of 70 ton's.

I will be posting more reports from the Digger Blog's Volvo experience in France last week, over the weekend.
