World's biggest sandcastle

In the latest stunt from its creative team, Caterpillar has built the world’s biggest sand castle.

On a beach in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, seven Cat machines helped seven sand sculptors to build a rather sophisticated edifice standing 12.69 metres in the air.

It has officially been verified by the people from the Guinness Book of Records as a new world record.

Sand Castle’ is the latest in the Built For It series of short Caterpillar films. As you will see below, it shows two Cat hydraulic excavators, a wheel loader, two mini excavators, a vibratory soil compactor and a track-type tractor transform 734 cubic metres of quarry sand and water into the world’s tallest sand castle.
