Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.

Breedon Southern are currently seeking to appoint a ReadyMix General Operative to join our Plant Supervisor at our Hereford Concrete Plant. Reporting to the ReadyMix Production Manager, this position offers a challenging opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic individual with a positive 'can do' attitude who wants to join a very personal and progressive company.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with a hands-on-role to drive forward our health and safety culture, and enjoy being active and outdoors. The role would suit an enthusiastic, outgoing and self-motivated individual with excellent communication, team-working and time management skills. Ideally you will have previous experience in the concrete industry, however training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will be required to:

  • Be compliant with standard SHEQ requirements
  • Front end loading shovel operation
  • General housekeeping and maintenance duties
  • Willingness to learn and carry out plant supervisor duties, including batching concrete.
