Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. We operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
We are currently seeking a Weighbridge Operative to join our friendly team based in the office at our Black Cat Quarry in Bedfordshire.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager your role will be to liaise with drivers entering and leaving the site, receiving orders from the quarry and accurately ticketing materials for dispatch to customers. You will be operating a computer to detail order requirements, working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and also carry out other administration duties as required.
Working in this busy environment, the successful candidate must be highly organised, have a good eye for detail and strong communication skills. You will also need good IT skills and be confident on the phone. Experience in an administrative role would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
