Assistant Project Manager / Project Co-ordinator - Frankfurt

Job Description

THE ROLE

I am seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator, in the Building Construction industry who has good or fluent German and good English to join a firm of construction consultants in Germany.

You will be based in Frankfurt but you will need to travel across Germany to site or to clients as required by the projects.

You will initially be involved with a range of warehouses, logistics and possible data centre construction projects.

You will work on projects from feasibility to project delivery and you will deal with international clients through to contractors on site.

Experience in the use of the VOB and HOAI is required and at least one year or more experience of working in the German construction industry ideally in project management or similar.

This role will offer great prospects for an ambitious project manager as this firm of construction consultants is expanding their operations in Germany.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.

They are an international firm now expanding their operations across Germany and elsewhere in the EU.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree or MSc qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering or other Building Construction subject.

You will need to have gained a year or more experience or more in a building construction related role and be keen to progress your career with a firm of consultants doing project management and project co-ordination.

You will ideally have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.

You must have an understanding of all commercial and economic aspects of construction projects of high value.

You should have experience of construction projects in Germany with an understanding of the VOB and all stages of the HOAI.

You will need fluent or very good German and good English. Previous experience of working in the German construction industry is required.

A German / EU driving licence is essential as sites can be fairly remote. A hire car will be provided.

Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 50000 to 60000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
