Care Home - Registered Nurse

Job Description

Registered Nurse - The Hollies Care Centre, Dursley

Permanent

36 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays) £19.80 per hour

£19.80/ hour, Weekend supplement of £1.00 ,Work over contracted hours paid an additional £3.50, Bank Holidays are paid at time and half.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse, ideally with Care Home experience. You will be joining a committed and professional team, working in a modern purpose-built care home providing beautifully designed accommodation: spacious rooms, suites and living areas with pretty gardens.

Registered Nurse - About the Role

  • To support the Head of Care and Senior Nurses in providing leadership to the care team delivering effective 24hr management of the Home within the available resources.
  • The post holder will have a key responsibility for the quality of nursing assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure that at all times residents receive an excellent standard of care.
  • To take responsibility for personal, nursing and care staff training issues.
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding of adults and follow the Home's whistleblowing policy as required.
  • What we are looking for:

    Education/Qualifications

    • Must hold a current NMC PIN no restrictions

    Experience

    • Previous work base Older People - care home
    • Care planning and writing, ideally with audit experience

    Skills Knowledge abilities

    • Able to prioritise own workload
    • Leadership skills, style - consultative but autocratic when required
    • Organisation - can demonstrate value of Peer to Peer working
    • Sensitivity to the needs of others, compassionate but firm if necessary
    • Ability to teach or supervise

    • Flexibility
    • Able to work efficiently under pressure (experience of stressful situations)
    • Self-motivation (coping skills)
    • Able to motivate others (techniques, evidence of gaining commitment)
    • Commitment to high standards of care (GSF EOL)
