Senior Finance Business Partner

Job Description

Gleeson Recruitment Group are working with a market leading and highly successful FTSE 100 firm to find a Senior Finance Business Partner for their rapidly growing energy infrastructure division .

As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will lead the finance support to the IT Director and their team whilst engaging and working with key stakeholders across the business in each function to develop the strategic and financial priorities for the business. Driving short, medium and long term financial and business performance. You will be focused on key IT deliverables, providing financial challenge, assurance and commercial insight into business cases and through programme delivery.

The business unit in question is undergoing an exciting and sustained period of transformation & change and will continue to do so over the next two to three years. Therefore, this role will be best suited to an experienced finance professional with a demonstrable career history of working in a complex business unit undertaking separation and transformation programmes.

Key Accountability

  • Engage with stakeholders internally and externally to understand best practice and to influence decision makers.
  • Actively contribute and challenge each business area to impact the shape of commercial and non-financial performance related decisions.
  • Drive the management of performance, financial risks and the implementation & maintenance of controls.
  • Work to shape the definition of value, key drivers which create value and the KPIs which measure value.
  • Lead the long-term business & financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to drive performance, with a clear link to business and regulatory outcomes.
  • Act as the finance lead on investment appraisal process for relevant business area, guiding decision making with insight and optimisation opportunities, to ensure that all current and future investments are made in line with the business strategy and value requirements.
  • Present the monthly results to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, delivering insight and highlighting priority areas of commercial opportunity & risks requiring mitigation

Key Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Demonstrated Business Partner experience to act as a trusted advisor using strategic insight to deliver tangible performance improvements.
  • The ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams throughout the relevant business area.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and investment appraisal, with track record of successful delivery.
  • Accounting Qualification ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
