Job Description
Dutton Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant for work in central Sheffield.
As an Assistant Financial Accountant within our client's Financial Accounts team the main area of focus for the role is cash flow forecasting, which requires a keen eye for detail and effective communication skills. You will work collaboratively with other teams in order to produce reliable forecasts.
You will play a key role in ensuring that accounting records are maintained accurately and you will provide support in the preparation of the Client and it's subsidiaries Annual Statutory Accounts by preparing supporting schedules.
Another area of focus is treasury management. On a daily basis you will be responsible for investing the Client's surplus funds in accordance with the Treasury Management Policy. You will also maintain financial counterparty relationships and mandates.
A good understanding of double-entry book-keeping and accounting principles is needed in order to maintain monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations for various payroll areas.
The role requires the individual to be AAT qualified (Level 4), or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience or equivalent.
