There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our North East Division is looking to recruit a Site Clerk to join the Division’s Construction team. The Role The role of Site Clerk provides a range of administration support to each of the North East development sites. Principle accountabilities of the Site Clerk role include: • Visit all sites to prepare work books for the coming week. • Collate and obtain the site working hours for the coming week and establish weekend working hours. • Liaise with the Divisional office with regards to rates for travel. • Establish with the Construction Manager and/or Site Manager any labour movements. • Review all site timesheets and amend any variations on site during the week and record these for the surveyor to recover any monies. • Finalise wages and send these to Group for payment. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience • Experience of working in a similar role as a Site Administrator or Document Controller. • Experience of working within the construction industry. Qualifications and Training • GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) • Full UK driving licence. Access to your own vehicle is essential. Skills and Aptitude • Good interpersonal skills. • Excellent organisation and administration skills, including good attention to detail • Ability to work on own as well as part of a team • Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems. • Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions • Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked. • Regular travel across North East developments.
