Architectural Designer

Job Description

Our client is a leading high end house builder that deliver premimum homes and sustainable developments across the UK. Due to continued growth they're now recruiting for an Architectural Designer to join their central Design team based from their offices in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

Reporting to the Architectural Design Manager the successful candidate will prepare Construction packages, details and specifications whilst working alongside external consultants and suppliers to complete a full tender package for the Commercial, Construction, Sales and Marketing teams to work with. You must have a residential background, and excellent knowledge of AutoCAD Architectural skills and REVIT would also be of benefit.

You will liaise directly with NHBC Building Control Department as well as ensure Consultants are working to deadlines in line with company standards. Therefore you should have a good foundation of building regulation knowledge. You will prepare marketing material and specification to aid the project team, and continually develop packages and investigate new products/ build methods within the industry. Additionally, you will attend project team meetings, and liaise with site based staff when you visit sites to assess our packages and identify improvements.

You will have a passion for Architectural Technology as this role sits in the Technical side of the Design team. An HNC/D or Architectural related degree is essential for this position, and you will have a creative flair and innovative approach to development layouts.

As this is a varied and deadline driven position, you must be reliable and flexible and able to act on your own initiative. You should be self-motivated and pro-active in your approach to your work. You must have demonstrable planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. You will be team centric with a 'can do' attitude.

Salary:

  • £30,000 to £38,000 per year negotiable dependant on experience
