- Are you a Technical Manager or Preconstruction Manager within housing, timber frame, roof trusses, engineered wood products or joinery?

Technical Manager required to work closely with Design Manager to look at the technical aspects of the design function of a respected Manufacturer of fast track building systems:
- Assessing the technical aspects of the design team's activities, both office-based and external Designers
- Establishing and maintaining standards which will encompass quality, compliance with external bodies, value engineering and buildability
- Liaison with your colleagues in Estimating and Manufacturing departments as well as handling any issues arising on site
- Attending and potentially leading technical meetings attended by external stakeholders including Clients, Architects, Consultants
- Ensuring CPD is maintained with the team
- Taking responsibility for maintaining and developing internal QA systems
- Establishing standards in design detail, for use both within design and on-site
- Critically appraising design and engineering submitted by internal and external design colleagues
- Taking a lead in developing internal systems, considering the changing market
- Reviewing manufacturing processes
About you:
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of timber in construction
- Experience with the use of AutoCAD
- Strong commitment to value engineering and buildability of designs
- Well organised, able to balance commitment to quality with an understanding of project timescales
- Excellent knowledge of detailing to TRADA standards
