Assistant Building Surveyor Job in Bristol
Assistant Building Surveyor job in Bristol, joining the Architecture and Building conservation team of an AJ Top 100 Architectural Practice, working on exciting heritage and conservation projects in the South West and nationally. The role offers a salary of circa £30,000 + 25 days holiday and excellent progression opportunities in a growing department.
The Architectural practice was founded in the 1940s and has grown to over 250 people across 11 UK offices. They have established themselves as an industry leader in planning advice, heritage consultancy, building surveying, conservation and contemporary architecture. Working with public bodies, charities, trusts, private companies, contractors, developers and individuals, they have been involved in the care and development of some of the best-loved buildings and in the UK and abroad. They need an Assistant Building Surveyor that has a passion for working on historic buildings and assisting the team with condition surveys for the maintenance and refurbishment of both heritage buildings and structures.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assisting with the delivery of condition surveys to a high standard
- Site visits to historic buildings and structures
- Analyse and accurately record building defects
- Report writing
- Non-intrusive and intrusive investigation.
Required Skills & Experience
- RICS Accredited degree or nearing completion of studies
- Some Heritage / conservation project experience
- Excellent report writing skills
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work at height.
