THE ROLE

I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager at Project Surveyor level to join a large firm of consultants in Manchester.

You should be enthusiastic to join a dynamic team.

This is an exciting role working on projects for healthcare, education, commercial, residential and science projects.

You will work as a Project Surveyor / Cost Manager working alongside an Associate or Senior QS.

Projects are generally valued from c. £1m to around £40m with some much larger.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction and engineering consultants with offices across the UK and overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or similar subject.

You will ideally either already be MRICS qualified or be working towards becoming chartered.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to work as part of a dynamic team.

You will be able to do all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from inception to completion of projects with experience of both pre and post contract duties.

Duties will include pre contract estimating, procurement, contract administration, cost reporting and final account resolution so experience of these will be required.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension, medical insurance, life assurance, professional fee and flexible working.
