Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Business Manager to be the face of our Express Asphalt site at Bardon Hill. You will play a key role in dealing with customers in a polite and helpful manner at all times. Working actively and collaboratively as part of the Bardon Hill mainstream team to ensure maximum output. About the role As one of our Trainee Business Managers you’ll be responsible for a range of duties, which will encompass traditional customer support operative responsibilities combined with active sales skills to drive the business forward. Other elements of the role include: To manage allocated business unit in accordance with the respective company policies and deliver as minimum, the agreed budgeted income and contribution levels through managed volume and price criteria Maintain and improve the business relationships and market knowledge, within a designated area To maintain a high degree of market and competitor awareness Ensure efficient financial performance of the weighbridge through: Optimum price management in liaison with Business Manager, accurate data entry into weighbridge computer, customer credit control in liaison with Credit Department and correct banking procedures are followed on a daily basis Facilitate the customer journey through the Express Experience ensuring optimum service levels and satisfaction Ensure that visitors to the Weighbridge are aware of site rules and Health and Safety requirements Working with other members of staff and independently to operate the facility safely to maximise throughputs Compile reports in line with department reporting requirements Be aware of professional responsibility towards health and safety, use of PPE, reporting accidents, incidents and near misses What will you bring?
