Senior Construction Buyer

Role: Senior Buyer
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Call to discuss salary and package
Sector: Construction, main contractor

You will join an existing team of Buyers and you will be an integral part of the purchasing function of the company. In this hands-on role you can expect to liaise closely with designers, production, project teams, finance, and estimating with whilst ensuring supplier lead and programme schedules are adhered to.

This role requires the candidate to be able to confidently work with drawings, this will be tested at interview stage. The ability to produce material take offs are also essential to spot issues, gaps and requirements for extra elements not covered in design.

Working with this large main contractor will be challenging and rewarding as they work to surpass £100m annual turnover.

Good Construction buyers will be seen quickly!

Candidates will need:

• Minimum 5 years previous experience in a Purchasing role
• CIPS - Preferred but not essential
• Competent level in use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and use of a proprietary ERP system such as SAP, JD Edwards, IFS or similar..
• Construction buying experience is essential
