Barnwood Shopfitting Limited is part of the well established and highly respected Barnwood Group Limited based in offices in Gloucester. It operates in the construction industry alongside its sister companies Barnwood Construction Limited and Barnwood General Works Limited. The Role: Estimator/Surveyor required working across the retail, banking and prestigious fit-out sectors, to carry out a commercial role within the business. Responsibilities; Preparation and submission of tenders. Assessment of a successful tender and analyst of sub-contract packages. Managing of cost control throughout a project. Represent the company in client/agent/sub-contractor communications. Objectives/Key Tasks: Preparation of tenders, including reviewing tender drawings and specifications, taking off quantities, issuing subcontractor enquiries and completing the estimate. Negotiating the price with the client and/or their professional team. Secure order to proceed and handover to Contracts team. Negotiate and place orders with sub-contractors. Submit variations throughout the contract. Prepare and submit valuations. Agreement of final account with sub-contractors. Agree final account with the client. Candidate Requirements: Applicants must be proactive, flexible and have a basic understanding of the Shopfitting and/or fit-out industry. Computer literate. Enthusiastic and energetic Must have a clean, full driving licence. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience within an Estimating or Surveying Department. Benefits: Competitive Salary & Benefits
