Job Description

The Role - Civil Engineer

Due to an increase in business and growth of the business, my client have a need for a Civil Engineer to work within their experienced Civil Engineering Design Team. The team works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, designing SuDS drainage schemes and highway works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD, the team also carry out flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.

The Company

My client provide a range of consultancy services to all sectors within the construction industry, this is done from their 4 offices spread across the East Midlands. They provide experienced employees in everything from architects, project managers and contractors.

Responsibilities

Design and drafting of SuDS and foul water drainage schemes, adopted highway works and external works for national house builders and other sectors including leisure, retail, commercial and industrial
Planning and organisation of tasks, people and resources to deliver projects on time and in accordance with current design guidelines

The Right Person

The successful Civil Engineer would suit a civil engineering graduate with three to five years experience working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer. The successful candidate will be given on the job training to develop their skills and they will work closely with other team members of the civil engineering team. Knowledge of the construction industry and basic health and safety is essential.
