Civil Engineering Lecturer

Protocol are working with a successful and engaging College based in Hertfordshire who are looking to recruit a permanent Civil Engineering Lecturer

We are looking for an outstanding, inspirational and enthusiastic lecturer to join their successful Construction department. The department has students at level 2, 3, 4 and 5, the desire is to prepare students and progress to study at degree level. If you are interested in sharing your wealth of experience and qualifications to bring on the next generation into Construction and Civil Engineering then we want to hear from you.

This position is open to experienced lecturers as well as NQT's and people from industry. Support will be provided to develop the skills to be an inspirational teacher.

Role responsibilities
Deliver the Civil Engineering course and carry out all associated course administration.
Produce schemes of work and lesson plans in advance and prepare teaching materials/resources for all teaching.
Mark and assess student work promptly, accurately and objectively
Act as a personal tutor and therefore be responsible for a group of learners, providing timely, transparent and fair tutorial and other support to them as appropriate
The person & qualifications
A relevant Civil Engineering qualification at degree level
Have previous teaching or training experience
High level of communication skills
Be able to teach 14-19 year olds
Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
