Construction Assembly Team Leader - Modular Construction - Northfleet Kent - Competitive Salary

The Person

You will need a proven ability to:

Technical skills required:

  • Experience of installation of Modular Buildings, ancillary components and external construction systems
  • CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor [NVQ3 or above]
  • SSSTS minimum, SMSTS preferable

It would be valuable for you to have

  • Work-At-Height accreditation
  • Demonstrable logistics / delivery experience, particularly within the Lifting Operations Environment
  • A good understanding of multiple trade-disciplines associated with the internal and external items associated with modular systems delivery
  • Experience of delivering training and workplace assessment
  • Experience within an offsite manufacture, automotive, aerospace or similar background
  • Good understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements including Health Safety & Environment, and Quality Systems
  • A solid understanding and ability to use drawings, manufacturer data and Operating Procedures to deliver the end result
  • Knowledge and experience of operating under the applicable regulations and legislation; including CDM, LOLER, PUWER and WAHR
  • The Role

    As part of our Team of Leaders you will initially be developing knowledge and a deep understanding of our product and process technologies as we begin production. This learning will culminate with the development of extensive materials to be used for setting up and delivering training programmes to your production teams in the new systems of work to support, maintain and improve the production capability including:

    • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Risk Assessments
    • Autonomous Maintenance Plans and Procedures.

    Once the factory is established, the focus will switch to ensure day-to-day that the system is able to consistently deliver to the required standards of excellence in all aspects of onsite Construction Logistics, Installation and Finishing.

    As such, our Team of Leaders will be responsible for:

    • Delivering our product against exacting standards
    • Effectiveness of the team measured against quality, productivity and cost targets
    • Ensuring a safe working environment for the workforce
    • Implementing a culture of Continuous Improvement.
