Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: South East
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Car + Package
Sector: Modular
Britain's oldest independent manufacturer and supplier of permanent modular buildings are on the lookout for an additional Construction Manager to join their ever-expanding team. Their steel framed modular system is fabricated off site which can then be clad in traditional finishes to create permanent or temporary buildings. Their key markets are healthcare, education, commercial business, defence and custody solutions.
Your first project will be a £12M new build office block as principal contactor. Excellent client facing skills are essential and we are looking for candidates with a proven track record of managing new build schemes at this value from start to finish.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage the Contracts Managers to ensure the project is completed on time and within the agreed budget
- Be able to manage multiple projects throughout London and the South East
- Liaise with clients and attend meetings as necessary
- Be commercially and contractually aware of sub-contractor's cost, budget control, management and obtain competitive prices where required
- Monitor Health & Safety to ensure the site is compliant with regulations
Person Specification:
- Degree or equivalent in construction or a related field
- The ability to oversee multiple contracts and ensure they are completed on time and within budget
- Experience with project values from £5m - £15m
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, attention to detail and able to proactively interact and motivate others
- Familiar with contracts including JCT and NEC 3 forms
- Experience in delivering new build projects as main contractor
- The holder of a full UK Driving Licence.
