The Role - Field Service Technician

Majority of work is in EU

£32,000 to £36,000

Leicester Based

This is a great opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join a rapidly expanding and fast-paced global company, the successful person will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and calibrating battery testing instruments. You will have a background in control and instrumentation and/or a good understanding of networking protocols - i.e. programming/changing I.P addresses etc.

The Company

My client has over 15 years experience in supplying and servicing battery testing instruments into various different industries, including automotive, aerospace, telecommunications and oil & gas, these instruments are responsible for testing and monitoring portable power supplies. The company also offers consultancy and training services, they are a global leader with a best in class product.

Responsibilities

Visiting customers to service, calibrate and diagnose faults.
Be able to offer advice and guidance on problems that arise with the equipment.
Predominantly EU travel, some UK/Site Coverage
Calibration and service of battery testing instruments
Be customer facing and engage with customers.

The Right Person

The successful Field Service Technician will have a qualification or background in electrical or electronic engineering. You will have experience in working with electronic products such as power supplies, control and instrumentation, you will be proficient in calibrating, servicing and diagnosing these products. You will have a willingness to travel and stopover when needed.
