Commutable from: Anywhere in London or surrounding districts

Area coverage: London

Salary: circa £45,000 (DOE) + Overtime + Travel paid door to door OTE £70K

Benefits: Company Car, 25 Days Holiday, Company Pension Scheme

Our client is a well-known manufacturer and supplier of lift equipment Nationwide in the UK.

We are looking for a skilled Lift Technician of passenger lifts to fault find, diagnose and resolve faults managing customer expectations. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Technician looking to progress their career working for a well-known lift engineering company. This is NOT a Tester role but a skilled and proven troubleshooter opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate:

NVQ 3 Qualified Technician or Senior Lift Engineer

A minimum of 5 years working as a Service & Breakdown Engineer in the lift & escalator industry, preferably with Technician experience

Technically minded - electrically, mechanically (hydraulics is desirable)

A confident, people person for this customer facing role, able to communicate at all levels

A competent, quick thinking individual able to investigate, diagnose and advise both Engineers and customers with product and industry mastery

Experience working in North West UK

Exposure to testing lifts or lift products/equipment

Technician Responsibilities:

Delivering rapid turnaround solutions to complex problems relating to customer systems, including electronic troubleshooting, delivering work within defined SLA service level on a consistent basis.

Managing schedules meeting customer SLAs, acting as the point of escalation for technical faults.

Deliver a demanding service contract, covering over 150 lifts around London

Achieve response rates to any failure or breakdown to minimize downtimes.

Servicing, Repairing, assisting with commissioning lifts

Diagnostic and Reporting

Costing Analysis of components - modernisations/refurbishment discussions

Offering technical guidance and advice over the phone for 15 Engineers and customers

Lift Technician Characteristics

Experienced Lift Engineer at /Technician level (NVQ Level 3 required)

Senior Technician studying or completed NVQ 4 (Desirable)

Industry Knowledge & experience (minimum of 5 years)

Hardworking, prepared to respond promptly to call-outs

Flexible travelling around London

Characteristics: hard working, reliable, good time management skills, customer service, team player
