Electrician

Job Description

A key role for a time-served Electrician, with a 17th Edition Wiring Reg’s qualification, at Aggregate Industries, a leading player in construction solutions. About the role As an Electrician reporting to our Team Leader, you'll join our engineering team covering the entire site. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include both planned and reactive maintenance of fully-automated and electrically-driven machinery such as hydraulics, pneumatics and motors, in addition to root-cause PLC fault-finding, repair, and some programming. That’ll involve undertaking electrical work in accordance with UK legislation and Aggregate Industries’ standards, using safe working procedures. Undertaking fault-finding, process improvements and energy reduction, whilst maintaining all diagrams, circuit schedules and other information, you’ll also maintain all PLC-controlled equipment, including program modifications to suit production needs, and safety-related control systems for machinery. What will you bring? PLC experience, together with fault-finding and programming, specifically Rockwell, Allen Bradley and Siemens Skilled in control panel design/build and cable-sizing and handling motor control/VFD/DC drives Knowledge of weighing equipment, load cells etc A flexible approach to working hours IT-literacy What can we offer you?
