Electrician

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician working at our flagship site Bardon Hill Quarry. As a member of the electrical section within the Engineering department you will be responsible for delivering pro-active electrical safety and maintenance across the site. About the role You will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the site, it’s electrical fit, all process plant and equipment while being competent to maintain and improve electrical equipment, the Electrician’s contribution is key in driving excellence and a continuous improvement culture. Other elements to the role include: Competently undertake electrical work of all kinds to the highest personal and professional standards as required Ensure that any persons under personal control are competent and authorised by site management for work at the site Ensure that adequate assessment and control of risks are made and implemented before work is undertaken Contribute to the maintenance of all diagrams, circuit schedules and other information Capably carry out portable appliance testing Carry out inspections and tests of fixed electrical equipment and installations Competently carry out inspections and tests of safety equipment Complete electrical maintenance, improvement and installation works Immediately notify in the approved manner all defects and reinforce those which could result in either a serious risk of personal injury, fire or a breach of statutory requirement Competently reset electrical equipment and enter switchrooms and substations What will you bring?
