Engineering & Factory Team Leader

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hands on Engineering/Factory Team Leader at our Back Lane site in Carnforth. About the role Within this hands on role you will be responsible for mechanical maintenance of the plant, the team across the site and general site services. Helping to achieve key performance indicators, including Health & Safety, productivity, quality, plant operational performance, planned preventative maintenance. Other elements to the role include: Establish and operate to recognised corporate & local Health & Safety standards Have responsibility for the site operations team Ensure all plant, services and equipment is maintained/serviced in line with company and manufacturer’s requirements Develop and implement a PPM maintenance schedule Help achieve key performance indicators for productivity and quality Advise on plant issues and improvement opportunities To control all engineering documentation/records Control purchasing of supplies and services for the engineering function Manage engineering projects and contractors Help manage the maintenance budget Ensure maximum possible plant uptime Ensure clear communication and compliance to Health & Safety Standards of site team ​What will you bring? Qualified mechanical background Experience of leading a team and having responsibility for site plant equipment/services Multi-skilled engineering background ideally HND or similar (e.g. electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and PLC’s) Experience with automated factory machinery Processes where continuous improvement has been used Experience in finding route cause of a problem and fixing it ​ What’s on offer?
