The Position:

The role of an Estimator involves the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tender proposals to enable the securing of a potentially profitable work for the business unit, by ensuring that bids are prepared in a timely manner, are attractive to our customers, and meet the company's requirements.

Directly responsible to the Principal Estimator you will be required to work as part of a bid team and liaise with people both internally and externally in a commercially astute manner.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will have experience in the manufacture of building materials, but this is not essential
  • Logical and well organised with ability to prioritise
  • Numerate and accurate
  • Presentation skills - Written and Verbal
  • Positive response to pressure
  • Technically competent in the estimating process
  • Supportive of the introduction of the latest in-house IT software systems to ensure high speed communication is maintained
  • Efficient in the use of Excel, Word, ERP software
