Estimator Job in Enfield
Estimator job in Enfield for a regional housebuilder covering developments in London and Home Counties. Our client is looking for an Estimator with either a housebuilder or residential D&B contractor background to join their team in Enfield, they will consider an Estimator or Senior Estimator. Offering a salary of £50,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience / seniority + Car Allowance £5.5 or £7k or company car + 10% Bonus.
Established over 60 years ago they deliver circa 800 units per annum and have a strong pipeline of development and land banked for the next coming years. They provide open sale and affordable housing on brownfield sites, providing both traditional build and mid-rise developments. They are a team of 150 and you will be joining their estimating team of 7. To be considered you must have a background in using construction drawings to take-off and produce bills of quantities and will have a housebuilder or Residential D&B contractor background.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with the Land and Planning Departments on the preparation of construction costs at acquisition and planning stage
- Updates on cost plans throughout the life-cycle of projects
- Prepare reports to be presented to main board
- Prepare Bills of Quantities for the commercial team to procure packages
- Final estimates and report any variances to original cost plan.
Required Skills & Experience
- Must have at least 3 years' experience as an Estimator for either a housebuilder or residential D&B Contractor
- Experienced in producing bills of quantities for the commercial department
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in Onsight and Easy Earthworks is preferable.
