Reporting to: Directors

Salary Guide: circa £60k every 6 months

You will assess learners in their workplace and on-line. Key Responsibilities:

    Delivering high-quality qualifications via on-site & online assessments.

    Offering guidance to complete their qualification Lift Engineers/ Escalator Engineers

    A QCF (NVQ) Assessor will support and assess people working towards qualifications in the lift and escalator industry.

    Assess Engineers ensure they meet all the occupational standards needed to achieve their qualification.

Your day-to-day tasks will vary and will include:

    On-site assessments/ visits - using e-portfolio software - Create & examine candidate's portfolio's

    Planning/ delivering vocational training programmes

    Providing feedback / offer advice if the standards are not met

    Signing off the award when all the requirements have been met

    Record keeping Engineers progress

    Working closely with training staff and learner's managers

The Candidate:

    Relevant lift qualifications or Holder of assessor/verifier qualifications such as A1/A2, V1/V2 or D32/33/34,

You will require one of the following qualifications:

    Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

    Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

    You must have a suitable lift industry experience, preferably with experience in a training/coaching role

What skill areas can be covered?

    NVQ3 Lift & Escalator Qualifications

    Traction Lift Installation / Hydraulic Installation

    Lift Repair/Servicing/Installation

    Escalator Installation/ Commissioning / Escalator Repair & Service

    Level 4 C Testing in the Lift & Escalator Industry

    EOR Basic Safety Units

    Health & Safety Competence (5 units)
