There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our North East Division is looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join the Division’s Technical department on a temporary basis for 12 months. The Role Reporting to the Technical Project Manager and Technical Director the successful candidate will be responsible for:- General administration duties to support the TPM, including processing invoices, updating records, and document control. Assist with communication and provision of documents, to facilitate handover to Management Companies or Managing Agents. Support the TPM with handover of affordable housing units to Registered Providers, including production of Health & Safety files, individual plot folders, and responding to enquiries from the RP. Tendering and appointing design Consultants. Reviewing draft drawings, plans and reports and providing comment. Liaise with colleagues, consultants and local authorities, responding to queries in a timely manner. Discharge of planning conditions, including adhering to strict deadlines, effective management of enquiries and monitoring timeframes. Reviewing and monitoring Section 106 obligations, ensuring compliance with trigger points. Work closely with the Land, Commercial, Technical, Construction and Sales departments to ensure smooth and consistent transfer of information. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Previous experience working in construction, with knowledge of new build development, preferred. Ideally suited to a graduate or trainee from a construction discipline, such as Architectural, Engineering or Planning. Qualifications and Training Current CSCS card or equivalent Skills and Aptitude Strong communication and listening skills Excellent organisational and time management skills required Highly motivated to deliver quality developments Ability to work on own as well as part of a team IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems Good administration skills Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked. Office based role, with travel within the Divisional area. Ability to travel to development sites as and when required.
