CSCS Self-employed groundworker

Job Description

Muncal Group Ltd (trading as Muncal Construction) is looking for an experienced and skilled groundworker on a self-employed basis to assist with various projects located in areas around Surrey and Reading. Muncal Group Ltd is small construction company with various projects with private individuals as well as large scale property developers. Requirements, skills and attributes: The ideal groundworker will possess the following skills and attributes: • a minimum of 3-5 years of solid experience as a groundworker and such experience needs to include:  clearing and preparing construction sites for construction;  digging trenches for foundations;  removing/installing drainage and pipework systems;  construction of small structures such as retaining walls;  construction of roads, driveways, and paths using a range of materials such as tarmac or slabs; • proven confidence with measurements, angles, and quantities; • hold a current Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card; • hold a current drivers licence; • be able to work confidently and independently without any supervision; • possess strong teamwork skills; • possess strong attention to detail; • possess a solid understanding of and commitment to health safety requirements whilst working on site; • committed to seeing projects through to the end; • hard working, reliable and honest. Whilst not necessary it will be advantageous if you also hold current operator cards. You will also have your own tools (the majority of the time), phone and vehicle. Muncal Group Ltd understands you may have other projects afoot and/or will take on other projects whilst your services are engaged by Muncal Group Ltd.
