EHS Manager

Job Description

Our major international client is looking to recruit a EHS Manager to their management team.

Your role is to drive Environment, Health and Safety performance within the manufacturing plant to achieve best in class performance.

EHS Manager candidates must have fast paced manufacturing experience and a proven track record of delivering and enabling culture change

EHS Manager roles & responsibilities:
* To help the facility identify where they must improve, or could benefit from improving, their EHS and Property Protection Management performance.
* Lead and support facility to develop and implement plans to achieve these improvements.
* Embed a management system which helps achieve these aims.
* To liaise with regulators, legislators and other key stakeholders to minimise compliance requirements for the facilities.
* Be the trusted point of contact within the plant for all EHS and Property Protection Management issues.

EHS Manager: Education / Training
* H&S qualification / professional membership e.g. NEBOSH Diploma / CMIOSH
* Env. qualification / professional membership e.g. IEMA Associate Certificate / MIEMA

Desired
* Internal Auditor
* Property Protection Management qualification

EHS Manager experience required
* Commercial experience of successful Environment Health and Safety management in a heavy manufacturing or Chemical industry sector.
* Health and Safety Management, including: Health & Safety Compliance & Legislation
* Environment Management including: Industrial Emissions / Integrated, Pollution Prevention and Control, Water / Waste & Chemical Management, EU Emissions Trading and Environment Legislation

Desired Technical Experience
* Property Protection Management
* Health & Safety Project Management (ACM, Legionella, Major engineering projects)

Required Management Experience
* Manufacturing Facility Liaison
* ISO14001 Implementation / Management
* OHSAS18001 Implementation/Management
* Internal Auditing
* Staff Training
* Legislator / Regulator Liaison

Desired Management Experience
* Financial Planning
