Interior Designer Job in Washington DC
Due to an expanding portfolio of work our client is hiring for an Interior Designer job in Washington DC! The role will see you gain further exposure to all aspects of workplace and commercial design, assisting the projects teams with various stages across, concept, technical, FF&E, and delivery. Salary up to $80,000 + 401K + Medical + Hybrid Working!
Established for over 60 years, this practice has links across the US and covers all aspects of architectural planning, interior design, and brand development for commercial projects of all sizes. You will be joining a vibrant and highly enthusiastic team with a strong work ethic to deliver some of the best projects across the workplace and commercial sectors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of conceptual designs, including mood boards, look and feel of projects, spatial design and test fits
- Work with the wider team for the creation of renderings and design packages
- FF&E selection & specification
- Assist with and manage technical drawings, detailing and specifications
- Manage aspects of projects, working and liaising with the wider project team.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified, or higher, in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or similar
- 4+ years within corporate interior design
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), and MS Office
- Experience creating and understanding project documentation
- FF&E experience
- Knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements
- Licensure or CID, IIDA, ASID, LEED, preferred but not required.
