Senior Interior Designer Job in London

Our client is looking to fill a Senior Interior Designer Job with their commercial architecture and design firm. Located in Saint Pancras, London, a few minutes' walk from King's Cross station, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join an established team. Your role will see you involved in workplace/commercial projects across London, working with a project team across all stages of design. Strong Mid-Weight Interior Designers will also be considered. The position is offering a salary of up to £55,000 + hybrid working + career progression.

The practice has a team of interior designers and technical staff that work on projects across London, typically workplace projects up to 30,000sqft. With a project recently starting you'll be jumping into a live role and taking the reigns on the project, working across all stages for it's expected completion in Oct 2022. Alongside this, the business has recently secured a range of projects all commencing in the next 6 weeks. They now need to expand their team and are looking for someone with strong client-facing skills, a creative approach to designs and the ability to lead a small team on a daily basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a project team across all stages of design
  • Oversee and assist in the produce 2D technical designs and bespoke joinery detailing in AutoCAD
  • FF&E selection and specification, establishing concept proposals within budgets
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Work with the directors to create unique concept designs
  • Site visits and assisting with installations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ideally degree qualified in Interior Design, Architecture, or similar
  • 8+ years' experience in workplace design, ideally from a traditional design practice but D&B will also be considered
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite
  • Revit experience is highly desirable, but not essential
  • Client-facing and on-site experience.
