Job Description
Our client is looking to recruit a permanent Maintenance Engineer to their expanding team. Mon - Fri Days
The role would ideally suit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias who has a strong background from a process / machining manufacturing background who is looking for the next step in their career where they can make a significant impact in a growing successful business.
Maintenance Engineer Key objectives:
* Perform essential reactive and ppm maintenance, improvements & rectifications on processing machinery/ancillaries to minimise production downtime, escalating details of breakdowns, solutions, timescales & costs.
* Liaise with production department to remedy any breakdowns or production problems.
* Ability to liaise with equipment suppliers, service support and contractors to remedy problems and order spares.
* Documentation of maintenance tasks and issues, identifying route cause and remedial action to help identify and resolve recurring issues.
* Interdepartmental liaison to continually review & improve the process, products & tooling.
* Assisting in the introduction of new plant and equipment.
* Identify, report and remedy any potential H&S concerns.
Maintenance Engineer Qualifications & Experience:
A time served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with appropriate qualifications & industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
An energetic, forward thinking & creative team player with high ethical standards & an appropriate professional image.
* Educated to City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent. 17th/18th edition
* Experience of maintenance & repair of injection moulding machines, moulding presses and other machining industry equipment
* Competent using workshop equipment.
* Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
* Enthusiasm, Passion, Drive, and Commitment.
* Ability to think ahead & plan over a 3-6 month period.
* The ability to organise & manage multiple priorities & tasks.
* Problem analysis and problem resolution.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Practical with a can do attitude.
* IT Literate
