Trainees (ie non tutor/assessors - but solid marine engineering experience) can be considered and training given!

Our client is a leading national apprenticeship training provider and is currently looking to recruit an Assessor/Tutor to deliver Marine Apprenticeships in the Hampshire area. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be delivering effective teaching and learning via work-based qualifications to Level 2 & 3 Marine learners.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Motivating and driving learners to achieve their work-based qualifications through great teaching and learning
Retaining learners and employers by giving consistent great levels of service
Planning the teaching, learning and assessment process with learners and employers - through a variety of different assessment methods, giving feedback and completing all relevant documentation accurately
Carrying out consistent planned progressive visits and reviews with the involvement of both learner and employer

Skills/Experience:
Past experience in an Marine Engineering
Relevant technical certificates
Assessor qualification (not essential as training can be given)
GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
Minimum of level 2 in Functional Skills - Maths, English and ICT
Ability to energise others
Effective communication skills
Planning and organisational skills
