Job Description

The Role - Mechanical Fitter

The successful Mechanical Fitter will work from engineering drawings and have had a good amount of previous experience

Main Responsibilities

    Final assembly of Mass Spectrometers Assembly of Mechanical Sub Assemblies into a completed Instrument Wiring and making sure that the system is free of leaks Pre-Test of the Instrument and releasing it to the test department Assembly of Instrument peripherals, including modification of bought in parts to design drawings and plumbing of the system.

The Right Person

Any experience of gas tight plumbing or vacuum systems and general fitting practices would be preferable, but not necessary. Awareness of anti-static controls and having worked within ISO accredited organisations would be beneficial.
